Ellen Bartolozzi - BAM Owner & Instructor
Music is my passion and has been such a positive influence in my life...and I have great pride in the quality of education and experience the staff offers our students. I have been teaching privately since 1986. In fact, the teachers at Bella Angel Music have over 100 years combined teaching and performance experience!
I started studying piano and singing at age 5 and have been doing both ever since! Throughout high school, I was active in musical theater while continuing my private studies. I went on to earn my music degree from DePaul University's School of Music, concentrating in piano performance, voice, and composition.
Also since 1986, I've been an active performer, vocalist, and composer in the Chicago area, specializing in wedding ceremonies and life's other important dates like anniversaries, tributes, more.
In 2005, I was hired by the Village of Elmwood Park to create a community chorus. And, from 2005 to 2009, I directed The Elmwood Park Community Chorus. The group toured the Chicagoland area several times a year, singing at community events, senior citizen centers, and more. For my contributions to the chorus, community, and Arts, I was awarded the 2009 Studs Terkel Humanities Award.
Bella Angel Music and I have been featured in The Chicago Sun Times, The Forest Park Review and the blog Life, Words, & Rock 'n' Roll.
